Particularly prized for their high omega-3 oil content, these fish are sold frozen in 10 kg master containers. Sizing is calculated on a fish count per 10 kg basis with sizes ranging from 40 count to 65+ counts.

Select's frozen sardines range from 165 to 250 grams. Sardines are graded to be consistent in size, with the size noted on the ends of every box. Fat content varies from 20% to 25 %. Quotes are available on individually quick frozen, glazed or bulk packed in 10 kg. boxes or 600 lb or 1200lb totes. Larger fish can be individually quick frozen, shipped in bulk and later be reprocessed into (50g) fillets or other value added usage. The catching season is from July to October with the fat content peaking in September.
